Community Projects Liaison Officer, Band 6

  • Full Time (flexible work arrangements may be considered), Temporary
  • Backfill dates required:  8 April or shortly after until 10 May 2024

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Active and Healthy Communities Unit and the organisation by:

  • Supporting the development of capital works projects in partnership with clubs, peak sporting associations and cross department teams.
  • Maintain effective monitoring, reporting, evaluation and communication mechanisms to support project development and project delivery.
  • Assist Project Managers in the development, review and delivery of capital works projects while complying with the time and budget constraints – providing corrective measures as appropriate.
  • Effective and efficient client management of the capital project program of the Active and Healthy Communities Unit. These projects may include but are not limited to: building projects, landscaping projects, sports ovals and sports reserve developments, sports lighting, playgrounds, skate parks, BMX tracks, aquatic facilities and leisure centres.
  • Support the management of external funding opportunities including all liaison and development such as expression of interest from community groups, submissions to funding bodies, management and reporting of funding agreements.
  • Provide advice and guidance to project management staff within the Organisation in relation to project delivery, including project formulation (scope planning, budgeting and programming), the development of consultant and design briefs, management of subsequent engagements and as necessary conflict and issue resolution.
