Manager Economic Development

  • Full Time, Temporary
  • Approximately 3 months (pending recruitment process) backfill from 6 May 2024

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Economic Development Unit and the organisation by:

  • Leading the Economic Development Unit in the delivery of the Economic Development Strategy 2020-2030 by working collaboratively in and across the City and region with government, business and community organisation partners and leaders.
  • Driving innovation to realise Greater Bendigo’s advantages and opportunities to meet future challenges and position Greater Bendigo as a leading regional city.
  • Enhancing the economic and employment prosperity in Greater Bendigo, including through initiatives that activate business and retail in the city centre and other activity centres, provide investment facilitation, business growth and attraction and results in quality commercial outcomes.
  • Leading the effective and efficient operation and accreditations of the Bendigo Airport, together with realising the opportunities of improved infrastructure and expanded capacity achieved by the Airport’s redevelopment project.
  • Leading the effective and efficient operation of the fully accredited Bendigo Livestock Exchange, maintaining and growing it as major regional sheep selling complex under the National Saleyard Quality Assurance Program.
