Manager Governance

  • Full Time (flexible work arrangements considered), Temporary
  • 4 weeks backfill, dates required:  14 June 2024 until 12 July 2024

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Governance Unit and the organisation by:

  • Leading the Governance Unit to provide Procurement Services, Legal Services, Risk and Assurance expertise and Governance support to the organisation
  • Providing support to the Councillors to carry out their roles as elected members
  • Providing support to Councillor briefings and public meetings and the conduct of EMT meetings
  • Supporting Councillor engagement
  • Supporting Good Governance and compliance practices across the organisation
  • Being an active participant in the Corporate Performance leadership team and supporting the Corporate Performance Director and Directorate
  • Providing leadership, direction and guidance to staff within the Governance team
  • Supporting the CEO and Directors on sensitive issues management and complaints
