The Role

As a Parks Worker – Horticulture, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the City of Greater Bendigo’s gardens and parklands. This hands-on position involves a variety of horticultural tasks, including planting, pruning, mowing, irrigation maintenance, and pest control. You’ll work as part of a dedicated team to ensure our parks and gardens are presented to the highest standard, contributing to a safe, welcoming, and sustainable environment for the community.
 
The position includes a 9 day working fortnight (fortnightly RDO) and is based at Canterbury Gardens located in Eaglehawk, Bendigo.

About You

You are passionate about horticulture and take pride in creating beautiful, well-maintained outdoor spaces. With a trade certificate in horticulture (or equivalent experience), you have practical skills in plant care, garden maintenance, and safe equipment operation. You enjoy working outdoors and thrive in a team environment. Strong communication skills, a customer-focused attitude and a commitment to safety are essential. 
 
A satisfactory police records check, current Victorian driver’s licence (manual preferred) and a Farm Chemical Users Certificate are required for this position.
