The Role
We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic nurses to support our high quality Maternal and Child Health Service by providing a range of efficient and comprehensive services to families and children from birth to school age across the region.
In this hybrid role, we have combined our Maternal and Child Health Nurse and Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Nurse positions together allow our staff to have the flexibility to tailor the services they provide to our community.
You will promote a focused approach for the promotion, prevention, early detection and intervention of physical, emotional or social factors affecting young children and their families.
Opportunities to support families using the new Sleep and Settling Program Initiative may arise.
To succeed in this role, you will have well developed interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to be flexible, innovative and to take initiative.
Organised professional development, collaboration with external agencies and monthly team meetings is valued by the City to encourage team cohesion and a supportive work environment.
Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Nurse who will manage case loads and attend client home visits will be awarded the additional 5% allowance for days worked.
About You
The successful applicant will have recognised qualifications in Maternal and Child Health nursing (or pre-1998 equivalent), along with registration with AHPRA - Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered General Nurse and Registered Midwife.
