The Role
Greater Bendigo is a leading regional centre for farming and agribusiness. In this parental leave role you will coordinate programs and initiatives that support rural landowners, farmers and the agribusiness sector to thrive and achieve sustainable land management outcomes.
In this role, you will lead engagement activities, administer grant programs, and provide strategic advice across the organisation on matters relating to agribusiness, farming and rural land use. You will also prepare advocacy submissions, administer the Farming and Agribusiness Reference Group and collaborate with other organisations on partnership projects.
About You
You have experience working with farming, agribusinesses or rural land holders, and bring strong knowledge of sustainable land management practices and industry challenges. You are confident coordinating programs, building relationships with landowners and stakeholders and supporting communities to adopt best‑practice land management.
Your strengths include organisation, communication, strategic thinking and the ability to manage multiple programs or projects at once. You are comfortable preparing reports, submissions and presentations and can provide clear, informed advice across a range of rural and agribusiness topics.
Above all, you are motivated to support a thriving agribusiness sector, foster sustainable land use and contribute to Greater Bendigo’s long‑term environmental and economic resilience.
A satisfactory police records check, Working with Children Check and drivers licence is required for this position.
