The role

We currently have multiple opportunities for suitable applicants to join our team as School Crossing Supervisors in the Greater Bendigo region. School Crossing Supervisors are responsible for ensuring the safe and orderly use of the school crossings used by children and other customers at schools across the City of Greater Bendigo.

Each shift is up to 60 minutes in duration, but normally 45 minutes between the hours of 8am – 9am and 3pm – 4pm. We try and allocate a school crossing close to your home. Small daily travel allowance is paid.

We have both ongoing part time and casual roles available.

 About You

  • You must be willing to adopt a professional approach, including wearing a full uniform at all times. The City of Greater Bendigo will provide onsite training, uniform and equipment.
  • No formal qualification or experience is required although you will have an ability to relate well to children and other users of the crossing, ability to stand for the 45 minute shift, good communication skills and the ability to deliver excellent customer service is essential.
  • Access to email and mobile phone, a current Victorian drivers licence and reliable car, a satisfactory police record check and Employee Working with Children Check are required prior to commencement.
