The Role

Working within our Strategic Planning unit, you will be proactive in undertaking infrastructure planning to support our growth. This will include assisting with planning for the Bendigo Regional Employment Precinct, as well as infrastructure planning for the City’s future residential growth areas.

A critical aspect of this role is also overseeing the City’s development contributions governance framework, which includes the coordination, preparation, evaluation, implementation and reporting of development contributions agreements (Development Contributions Plans, section 173 agreements, or other mechanisms).

About You

Ideal candidates for this role will either be an engineer/ infrastructure specialist that enjoys planning for the future, or an urban/ regional planner that enjoys the nitty gritty of infrastructure planning.

To be successful in this role you will have highly developed strategic infrastructure planning experience, including analytical, financial and project management skills. You will have experience in, or a good understanding of, development contributions agreements. You will also have strong written and verbal communication skills, enjoy working in a team environment with knowledge of relevant legislation.

Qualifications in engineering, land use planning, development contributions or the coordination of infrastructure will be well regarded.

A satisfactory police records check is required for this position.
