As a Parking Officer (Local Laws Officer - Parking), you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the turnover of vehicles in high use areas within the City of Greater Bendigo
  • Issuing infringement notices and conducting investigations regarding illegal parking and abandoned vehicles in accordance with relevant legislation
  • Investigating customer requests and providing communication to customers regarding outcomes
  • Assisting community members with general enquiries

We have 2 part time positions available which work every second weekend alternately. The roster is:

Week 1: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30am-5:06pm and Saturday from 9am-4pm

Week 2: Sunday from 11am-4pm, Tuesday from 8:30am-4pm and Wednesday, Thursday & Friday from 8:30am-5:06pm

Weekday hourly pay rate is $35.14 plus superannuation

Saturday hourly rate is $52.72 plus superannuation (for the first 3 hours), then $70.28 plus superannuation per hour after the initial 3 hours

Sunday hourly rate is $70.28 plus superannuation

The role involves walking and standing for extended periods of the day.

All training, uniform and equipment is provided.

A satisfactory police check, working with children check and full Victorian drivers licence is required for this role.

About You

You will have a customer service focus and enjoy assisting community members, have good communication skills and enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.

You will be keen to learn, have computer/technology skills, good time management and organisation skills.
