The Role

In this varied leadership role, you will coordinate the delivery of all Parking Services for the City, including the Parking Services budget, use of all public car parks and the multistorey carparks, parking payment systems and technology, time restrictions and relevant signage, to ensure parking across the municipality is safe, accessible and available.

You will also oversee our units administration team, which supports our service delivery in local laws, parking services, animal services and building services, to ensure all administration functions are delivered in a timely and efficient manner and support the development and implementation of continuous improvement and administrative processes.

You will lead and develop a high performing, flexible and resilient team with coaching and a positive, “can do” leadership style, so to achieve organisational goals identified through Council and Business Plans, and statutory requirements for both our parking and  administration team.

You will also provide expert technical and professional advice relating to all Parking Services matters, provide high level project management skills including ensuring projects meet agreed timelines, are on budget with regular progress reporting and develop, review and update policies and procedures.

This role has 2 direct reports, and oversees the parking team of 10 FTE and the administration tea of 8 FTE.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have extensive team leadership experience and demonstrated experience in the management of parking legislation, regulation, programs and procedures, with the proven ability to achieve better outcomes through problem solving, policy development and continuous improvement. You will have experience with managing a budget and administration systems and processes with excellent decision making and communication skills.

A satisfactory police records check is required for this position.
