The Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join our Parks and Open Space team as Coordinator Sportsfields & Reserves. In this role, you will manage and develop sportsfield and reserve operations, ensuring high standards of presentation and functionality across the City’s open spaces. You will provide strategic direction, develop policies, and oversee service delivery to create a sustainable and equitable open space network.

About You

You are an experienced leader with strong technical knowledge in sportsfield and reserve management, asset planning, and horticultural practices. With relevant qualifications or extensive experience, you combine strategic thinking with practical expertise to deliver high-quality outcomes. You have proven skills in project and contract management, budgeting, and policy development, along with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. You thrive in leading teams, fostering collaboration, and making sound decisions in a dynamic environment.

The requirements for this position:

  • Satisfactory police records check, 
  • Working with children check,
  • Current driver's licence
  • Commercial Chemical licence.
