The Role
This new role works within our Bendigo Venues and Events unit, which is a dynamic leader in performing arts programs and cultural activity, who inspires vibrant, creative communities. We manage and programs five of Bendigo’s premiere arts and events venues - Ulumbarra Theatre, The Capital, Engine Room, Dudley House and Bendigo Town Hall.
You will be responsible for technical and production operations, maintenance and safe operation of technical systems and equipment, at all BV&E venues and events.
You will provide specialist advice to external clients, management, and technical staff on the technical operation and requirements for BV&E venues, develop event plans and resolve any technical issues, and manage the technical team to ensure the successful operation of all BV&E venues and events.
About You
To be successful in this customer focussed position, you will have:
- Experience and knowledge in the technical operation of performances and events within a large performing arts centre.
- Experience in the operation of specialist technical equipment and the maintenance of buildings, technical systems and equipment.
- The ability to lead a team of staff and contractors.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, project management and time management skills.
- A commitment to a safe workplace.
A satisfactory police check, Working with Children Check (Employee) and Intermediate Rigging Licence or the ability to gain this licence upon commencement are required for this position.
