The Role
In this varied role, you will:
- Provide leadership, direction, and operational support to the parking services team (approx. 10 staff)
- Ensure effective service delivery, functionality and reliability of parking management systems
- Provide expert guidance on matters including permit application assessments, abandoned vehicle investigations, maintenance strategies, and carpark management
- Ensure policies, procedures and processes are current, effective, and aligned with legislative requirements, fostering continuous improvement and operational excellence
About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have knowledge and comprehension of parking services including the Road Safety Road Rules, Infringements Act and the Local Government Act, with experience in local government being desirable
- Demonstrated team leadership skills with a focus on team management, employee development and training
- The ability to comprehend legal process and practice, including collection of evidence and document management
- Have a continuous improvement focus with experience in identifying opportunities for systems and procedure improvements and implementing successful outcomes
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service including the ability to deal with difficult customers
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proven skills in quality reporting writing and preparing external correspondence
A satisfactory police check is required for this position.
