The Role
The Active and Healthy Communities unit is seeking a Community Projects Liaison Officer to join their supportive and collaborative team. In this role you will develop and maintain strategic relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders focussing on priority infrastructure needs and investment that support active and healthy outcomes for the community. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the development and management of external funding opportunities
- Working in partnership with a variety of internal design, delivery and service teams to project manage and report on a range of projects
- Assisting in the development of policy and strategic advice on complex and political issues relating to infrastructure development, need and use
- Ensuring issues of diversity, disadvantage, access and equity are considered and responded to in all projects.
Projects that this role will support as Service Lead includes but is not limited to:
- Ironbark Gully Trail
- Backhaus Oval service reinstatement
- Golden Square Pavilion Redevelopment
- Low Line Trail
- Truscott Reserve Pavilion Redevelopment
- Malone Park Master Plan Implementation
- QEO Northwest Corner Redevelopment
About You
As the successful candidate you will have:
- The ability to develop strategic relationships and networks, and translate these into organisational and community outcomes
- Experience in preparing and presenting high quality written and verbal materials
- Experience in successfully engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Demonstrated skills and experience in project management.
If you have knowledge and skills in sports and recreation, project management, community development or similar, we welcome your application.
This role requires a satisfactory police records check and employee Working with Children Check.
