The Role

In this role you will lead and manage the Planning Strategy and Policy Team within the Strategic Planning Unit. Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, you will oversee the delivery of urban and regional planning strategies, plans and associated planning scheme amendments, and work towards creating a highly liveable environment for our current and future community.

Current projects include implementing the City’s Managed Growth Strategy, overseeing the Rural Areas Strategy, and starting work on the City’s Affordable Housing Action Plan.

About You

To be successful in this varied leadership role, you will have:

  • Extensive knowledge of preparing strategic documents, strategic urban and regional planning, and associated legislation
  • Experience leading a team and providing positive leadership and mentoring
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully meet competing deadlines, influence outcomes to accomplish organisational objectives
  • Sound knowledge of project management

A satisfactory police records check is required for this position.
