The role

Coordinating the delivery of maintenance of the civil infrastructure for the City, ensuring all services are delivered in line with the relevant standards, on time and budget. By providing expert technical and professional advice relating to civil infrastructure maintenance matters to a range of internal and external stakeholders.

You will have two direct reports and oversight responsibility to be across 35 team members from the Asphalt and Concrete team plus the Grading and Drainage team. The role also manages and coordinates a range of external contractors. The position is based at the City’s Adam Street depot in Golden Square and works closely with other departments at the depot and across the organisation.

About You

To be successful in this position you will effectively lead and develop a high performing, flexible and resilient team to achieve organisational goals identified through business plans and strategic City documents. You will have good communication skills, enjoy working in a team environment, be organised and have the flexibility to changing work requirements. You will have experience in general road maintenance and civil construction work and a strong safety culture.

A satisfactory police records check is required for this position.
