The role

Are you passionate about improving health and wellbeing outcomes for the community?

We are seeking an experienced evaluation champion to lead evaluation processes and capability building support for the Active and Healthy Communities Unit, Healthy Communities and Environments Directorate and broader organisation.  

You will support the best practice evaluation implementation processes by providing appropriate guidance, tools, resources and training. Opportunities to participate in, and support research of, policy, strategy development and emerging issues will also be an integral part of the role and the work undertaken. As our Healthy Communities Officer – Evaluation, you will be well versed in the interpretation and application of emerging, relevant evaluation methods and frameworks.

This position is a parental leave backfill.

About You

You will have knowledge on contemporary public health approaches, particularly MEL approaches. If you have experience or are passionate in providing capability building support or coaching, training, programs and/or services in a community environment we welcome your application.

By having a keen eye for identifying and leading the implementation of appropriate evaluation methods, development of key evaluation questions and logic modelling to improve our community.

If you also like to work in a team environment and can demonstrating excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and time management skills this may be the job for you.

Additional requirements include formal qualifications or experience in health promotion, community engagement, evaluation or similar discipline.
