The role
Are you passionate about improving health and wellbeing outcomes for the community?
We are seeking an experienced evaluation champion to lead evaluation processes and capability building support for the Active and Healthy Communities Unit, Healthy Communities and Environments Directorate and broader organisation.
The role will work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders and strong relationship building and change management skills are desired.
As our Healthy Communities Officer – Evaluation, you will be well versed in the interpretation and application of emerging, relevant evaluation methods and frameworks. You will support the best practice evaluation implementation processes by providing appropriate guidance, tools, resources and training. Opportunities to participate in, and support research of, policy, strategy development and emerging issues will also be an integral part of the role and the work undertaken.
This position is a 12 month parental leave backfill that can part time (4 days) or full time.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- formal qualifications and experience in health promotion, community engagement, evaluation or similar discipline
- knowledge and comprehension of contemporary public health approaches, particularly MEL approaches
- experience in identifying and leading the implementation of appropriate evaluation methods, development of key evaluation questions and logic modelling
- experience in providing capability building support, training, programs and / or services
- excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and time management skills and enjoy working in a team environment
