The Role

The Destination Development Officer plays a pivotal role in shaping the visitor economy for Greater Bendigo and the Loddon region.

This position focuses on delivering industry development programs, fostering innovation, and enhancing visitor experiences through strategic projects and partnerships.

You’ll drive sustainable growth by collaborating with stakeholders, supporting tourism businesses, and co-designing new products that reflect best practice and market demand. This is an opportunity to contribute to a vibrant, future-focused tourism offering that strengthens regional prosperity.

About You

You are a proactive and creative professional with a passion for tourism and regional development. With experience in project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and industry capability building, you thrive in collaborative environments and bring strong communication and time management skills.

You have a keen eye for identifying opportunities and are motivated to design initiatives that enhance visitor experiences and support operators at all stages. Your ability to balance strategic thinking with practical implementation makes you an asset to a team committed to innovation and sustainable growth.

A satisfactory police records check and a current Victorian driver’s licence are required for this position.
