The Role

We are looking for an Inspections Arborist to help generate tree work priorities to ensure appropriate maintenance and management occurs for the preservation, development and renewal of the City’s Street and Parkland trees.

You will provide specialised arboriculture advice to stakeholders to help minimise the public liability and other tree related risks for the City and community.

This role works a 9 day fortnight and is based at the Depot in Adam Street, Golden Square.

About You

To be successful in this position you will have:

  • Tree Inspection and arboriculture qualifications such as TRAQ, QTRA, or VALID
  • Experience as an Inspections Arborist
  • Skills and experience in the relevant Australian Standards in arboriculture management
  • Understanding of the current State Planning Scheme, Local Laws relating to remnant vegetation and knowing significant trees and heritage listed trees
  • Strong communications skills and a proven ability to maintain both written and electronic records
  • Ability to competently and safely operate a range of small and medium plant including, chainsaws and elevated work platforms
  • Ability to manage your work while working in a team environment

A Victorian driver’s licence, Construction Induction Card and satisfactory police check is required for this position.
