The Role

Lead the Visitor Experience Team and volunteers at the Bendigo Visitor Centre to deliver exceptional visitor servicing and experiences inspiring them to explore, stay and spend in the Destination Greater Bendigo Loddon Region. You will implement strategies to drive spend across the region through retail displays, ticketing, visitor servicing, exhibitions and activations that leverage the Destination Brand and development priorities.

This position will work Wednesday to Saturday primarily based in the Bendigo Visitor Centres but may be required to be based at the Heathcote or other Visitor Centres from time to time.

About You

As the successful candidate, you will proactively develop a dynamic volunteer culture and drive continuous improvement. You will also thrive in a complex, ever-changing, busy customer service and commercial driven environment. Lead and manage culture, staff safety, and wellbeing, supervise direct reports, and provide timely communication through staff meetings. You will have a relevant qualification in tourism or volunteer management and substantial experience in managing the visitor experience at various avenues.

A satisfactory police records check, Working with Children Check (Employee) and a driver’s licence are required for this position.
