The role
We are seeking an experienced, innovative and motivated Manager to lead, manage and facilitate the delivery of visitor services at our Visitor Information Centres. Working at our beautiful award-winning Visitor Centre located on Pall Mall, Bendigo you will also travel to our Heathcote Visitor Centre to provide support and guidance to staff and visitors.

The Bendigo and Heathcote Visitor Centres are open 7 days per week and service over 120,000 people annually combined. They deliver an innovative range of visitor servicing programs and provide enriched visitor experiences within the region.

This role performs a range of duties associated with visitor services, Visitor Centre development, staff and volunteer management, business development, industry partnerships and marketing and is responsible for ensuring high quality services that meet visitor, community and operator needs.

Some flexibility in working hours is required including early starts, weekends, public holidays and/or evening work. This position will work over a 7-day roster.

About you
As the ideal candidate will have strong business acumen, demonstrated stakeholder management, team leadership and development experience and experience within the Tourism industry. You will have the ability to be innovative, strategic, deliver effective services and support in a demanding environment with conflicting demands. Outstanding interpersonal skills and sound financial management experience are essential to this role.

A satisfactory police records check is required for this position.
