The Role
Do you want to make a difference to our local community?
Working as our Landscape Development and Public Realm Officer in our innovative and dedicated Public Space Design team, you will oversee open space planning within new residential areas and provide landscape architectural advice and comments on landscape plans for new subdivisions.
You will undertake site inspections to ensure works are in accordance with plans and specifications and monitor and coordinate landscape development stages and open space handover for subdivisions.
You will also act as the public art and place interpretation point of contact and convene and administer the Public Art Working Group and the Public Art Advisory Panel as well as provide advice, guidance and support for permanent public art and place interpretation projects and grants.
About You
You will bring your relevant experience and qualifications in landscape architecture, or similar, have demonstrated knowledge and comprehension of the subdivision process with expertise in landscape design and some understanding of the planning scheme.
You will have strong knowledge of public art and place interpretation together with experience in development of policies, strategies and master plans for parks, streetscapes, activity centres and other public spaces.
Project management skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service are required, along with your ability to work cooperatively in a team within a sensitive and confidential environment and supporting projects that our local community will enjoy for years to come.
You will also be proficient in the use of computer software including Microsoft Office suite and a working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe and Sketch up. The ability to sketch and draw by hand is also highly valued.

This role requires a satisfactory police records check, drivers licence and relevant qualifications and experience required for membership with the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects.
