The role

The Work Unit is looking for three Civil Construction Workers to join the team to help maintain the City of Greater Bendigo.

In this role you will undertake a range of tasks related to civil construction work (usually within the road reserve), infrastructure maintenance and associated activities including drainage, concreting, paving, earthworks and asphalting.

The position includes a 9 day working fortnight (fortnightly RDO) and is based at the City’s Adam Street depot in Golden Square where you will travel out to site to service the City of Greater Bendigo area.

About You 

To be successful in this role, you will have skills and experience in:

  • Civil construction, general road maintenance, or concrete work
  • Safe and competent operation of a range of plant and equipment associated with road construction and maintenance activities
  • Effectively manage a safe and efficient worksite
  • Good communication skills with a customer service focus
  • The ability to work as a cooperative and effective team member

This is a physically demanding role, that may involve regular lifting, digging and general labouring.

A satisfactory police records check is required for this position.
