The Role

Do you have experience in managing property service and building maintenance contracts and are looking for a new part time challenge?

Working within our Property Services team you will support the management of the Citys property service contracts, which includes essential services mechanical and electrical programmed maintenance.

Our property portfolio includes community facilities and halls, sporting club rooms, public amenities and commercial premises.

You will ensure contracts meet the agreed outcomes, are value for money, meet quality service delivery and compliance with legislative, procurement and organisational requirements.

In this varied role, key responsibilities also include:

  • Engage, coordinate and oversee contractors, consultants and service providers to support effective delivery of maintenance and operational services
  • Support inspection programs, condition data collection and asset information management to inform planned maintenance and asset management decisions
  • Respond to property service matters, and liaising with stakeholders, occupiers, contractors, consultants and agencies to coordinate works, resolve issues and provide advice
  • Prepare and process contract-related documentation, requisitions, purchase orders, progress claims, correspondence and reports using City systems and procedures

This is part time, job share, temporary role to October 2027, with the work days being Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9am – 2pm (15 hours per week). Additional rostered after-hours support is required.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in contract management, including procurement, planning, administering and monitoring service contracts, managing contractor performance, budgets, milestones and risks
  • Proven experience in the effective and efficient management of properties and property related issues
  • Demonstrated experience in the development, coordination and management of maintenance and minor works projects
  • Excellent communication, time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to gain their cooperation and assistance
  • Sound understanding of principles of OH&S Law and practice in relation to the use of contractors

A satisfactory police check, employee Working with Children Check and drivers licence are required for this role.
