The Role

Are you an experienced Civil Engineer looking to utilise your skills and knowledge and support our community?

Working in our Engineering Unit you will develop project designs and stakeholder approvals for a range of Civil Infrastructure projects including roads, intersections, drainage, bridges, dams and sports facilities.

You will:

  • Undertake detailed site investigations and engineering calculations to determine suitable solutions to existing Civil Infrastructure issues
  • Undertake Civil Engineering design and produce documentation facilitating project cost estimation and construction
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders/agencies to obtain required project approvals and permits
  • Prepare written reports
  • Assist with scoping of future civil infrastructure projects
  • Provide information to the broader organisation on technical matters

About You

To be successful in this varied position, you will have:

  • A Civil Engineering qualification as recognised by the Institution of Engineers (Australia)
  • Demonstrated experience in the development of design options and solving problems
  • Demonstrated experience in computer aided design and drainage design
  • Proficient in the use of modern engineering equipment, including ‘Total Stations’ and GPS when surveying in the field
  • Project management experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills and enjoy working in a team environment

A satisfactory police records check and current Victorian drivers licence are required for this position.
