The Role
Working within a team, you will contribute to delivering high quality, customer focused works and services that are efficient, innovative and responsive to community needs. With a safety focus, you will undertake a range of tasks related to infrastructure maintenance activities and civil constructions works usually within the road reserve, including drainage, concreting, paving, earthworks and asphalting.
You will safely and efficiently operate a range of plant and equipment which may include Flocon equipment, asphalt truck, grader, excavator, backhoe and skid steer.
This is a full time role, working a 9 day fortnight (with fortnightly RDO), on every second Monday. Work hours are Monday – Friday from 7.00am – 4pm. The role is based at our Adam Street, Golden Square Depot, and will travel to sites across the Bendigo region.
About You
To be successful in the role you will have relevant skills, experience and/or qualifications in general road maintenance, asphalt or concrete work or civil construction works and the ability to operate a range of plant and equipment.
You will have knowledge of occupational health and safety and safe work practices, basic administrative skills, good communication skills and the ability to work as a cooperative and effective team member.
The role requires:
- Current driver’s licence with Medium Rigid (MR) endorsement (HR endorsement is desirable)
- Construction Induction Card (formally known as Red Card)
- A pre-employment medical
- A satisfactory police records check
