The role

The Works unit is seeking an Asphalter to join their team. In this role you will contribute to delivering high quality, customer focused works and services that are efficient, innovative and responsive to community needs. You will undertake a range of tasks related to infrastructure maintenance activities, civil constructions works and associated activities. 

About you

To be successful in the role you will have the skills to safely and efficiently operate a range of plant associated with maintenance and construction activities, which may include Flocon equipment, asphalt truck, grader, excavator, backhoe and skid steer. You will also understand and be able to apply quality control techniques and have basic administrative skills including the accurate preparation of relevant records. Sound communication skills and the ability to work as a cooperative and effective team member is essential for this role.

If you hold a current driver’s licence with Medium Rigid (MR) endorsement, skills and experience in general road maintenance, asphalt or concrete work or civil construction works, we welcome your application.

A satisfactory police records check is required for this position.
