The Role
Our new Strategic Transformation Unit is responsible for establishing, embedding, and continuously improving the City's Strategic Service Planning Framework, ensuring services are well planned, sustainable, and aligned to community needs.
As the Manager, you will lead our internal transformation function that oversees service planning, service improvement, change management, and organisational performance uplift. Through this work, the unit ensures the organisation has a clear, integrated and long-term approach to planning, prioritisation and resource allocation.
You will also be responsible for:
- Providing strategic leadership to establish, strengthen and embed the City’s Strategic Service Planning Framework, ensuring an integrated and sustainable approach to organisational planning and prioritisation
- Driving service transformation and performance uplift by leading service planning, service improvement and change initiatives that enhance efficiency, customer experience, and community outcomes
- Building organisational capability by leading a high-performing team and partnering across the organisation to promote evidence-based decision-making, collaboration, and continuous improvement
About You
To be successful in this varied role, you will bring:
- Demonstrated leadership in organisational transformation, including the ability to design, implement and embed strategic service planning or integrated planning frameworks in complex organisations
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex organisational data and translate it into clear insights, options and recommendations
- Proven capability to lead and develop high‑performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement, with a genuine commitment to our organisations values
- Demonstrated experience delivering successful change initiatives, including stakeholder engagement, communication, facilitation and capability development
- Highly developed influencing and relationship‑building skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills and enjoy working in a team environment
Relevant qualifications are required, as well as a satisfactory Police Records Check and employee Working with Children Check.
