The role

In this new position, reporting to the Coordinator Procurement, you will lead our operational procurement team in the provision of centre led procurement services across the City of Greater Bendigo.

This leadership role drives a positive team culture that values communication, shared goals and continuous learning. This role will also lead continuous improvement strategies and innovation that lead efficiencies in our service delivery and provide specialist advice and support on the delivery of our procurement service ensuring the service is effective, efficient, transparent and auditable in line with relevant legislation and Council Policies and Procedures.

You will be an experienced leader, who enjoys supporting and motivating a team. You will also have:

  • Knowledge of procurement and contract management principles
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • A continuous improvement and customer service focus
  • The ability to manage a budget
  • Excellent computer systems skills
