The Role

As our new Easter Festival Activation Lead, you will ensure efficient and effective coordination, planning and successful delivery of the Bendigo Easter Festival, supporting its overall success though strong resourcing, activation, stakeholder and program management.

In this varied role, you will undertake a range of duties including:

  • Ensure all on the ground activities are delivered whilst meeting OH&S obligations
  • Manage sponsor and marketing activations including signage and marketing plans
  • Manage a budget, income targets and contracts
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of websites and social media accounts
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Event and Safety Management Plans, ensuring effective risk mitigation
  • Lead and supervise a team of event staff
  • Compile event reports

This role is three days a week, with flexibility on the days and hours worked.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in large-scale event management and activation coordination
  • The ability to manage budgets and procurement processes
  • Experience in marketing events and promotions
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • High level of interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills, with demonstrated experience in building strong industry partnerships with the event industry and the community
  • Proven ability to meet strict deadlines while balancing competing priorities
  • Strong knowledge of risk and emergency management planning and compliance in event settings
