The Role

As our new Easter Festival Operations Lead, you will ensure the efficient and effective coordination, planning and delivery of the Bendigo Easter Festival, supporting its overall success, through strong organisational, stakeholder, risk and operational management.

In this varied role, you will undertake a range of duties including:

  • Lead all operational aspects of the Bendigo Easter Festival, providing logistical and operational support across all festival components which includes coordination of site infrastructure, vendor and supplier logistics, stakeholder liaison, and on-the-ground support during event delivery
  • Facilitate effective stakeholder engagement through consultation, communication and collaboration
  • Manage relevant budgets, income targets, and contracts
  • Coordinate traffic and emergency management planning
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive site and logistics maps, ensuring accessibility requirements and park/location obligations are met
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Event and Safety Management Plans, ensuring effective risk mitigation
  • Responsible for staff management during pre-event and event period
  • Compile event reports

This role is three days a week, with flexibility on the days and hours worked.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in large-scale event operations or festival management
  • The ability to manage budgets and procurement processes
  • High level of interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills, with demonstrated experience in building strong industry partnerships with the event industry and the community
  • Proven ability to meet strict deadlines while balancing competing priorities
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Strong knowledge of risk and emergency management planning and compliance in event settings
