The Role

In this varied role, you will undertake a range of tasks including:

  • Develop and deliver a range of projects ensuring Greater Bendigo takes advantage of, and is prepared for, emerging industries and future economic trends
  • Proactively research, identify and facilitate investment opportunities in emerging industries including creation of opportunity reports in developing areas to support economic growth
  • Monitor a range of economic, social and environmental indicators, policy changes and industry trends to provide expert advice on future economy and industry trends and opportunities
  • Identify opportunities and initiatives to attract new businesses and strengthening of existing businesses in Greater Bendigo

About You

To be successful in role you will have:

  • Relevant qualifications in business, economics, planning, or commerce and/or experience in economic development, business development, business engagement, industry development, strategic or business planning.
  • Strong project management skills and experience, particularly in relation to economic development practices, involving multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent relationship management, interpersonal, communication and time management skills and enjoy working in a team environment

A satisfactory police records check is required for this position.
