The Role

Our Property Services Unit is seeking a Team Leader - Building Projects (role advertised as "Project Manager - Building/Construction") to join our team.

In this diverse position you will lead and develop a small, high performing team to plan and deliver a variety of approved and proposed building capital works projects, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget and in line with Council Plan objectives.

You will also complete feasibility, design, planning, project delivery and contact management of your own building related projects and provide expert technical and professional advice relating to building and aquatic projects to a range of stakeholders.

Current projects the team is undertaking include:

  • Bendigo Town Hall renewal
  • Lake Weeroona changing place facility
  • Maiden Gully Community Hall renewal
  • Peter Krenz stadium floor renewal
  • Swimming pool plant renewal

About You

To be successful in this varied position, you will have:

  • Team leadership experience in a project management/contract management environment
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in project management/contract management
  • Knowledge of relevant Acts and Regulations, Codes of Practice and recognised Standards relevant to the delivery of building related projects
  • Strong financial management skills with experience in budget control
  • Skills in finding solutions to making work more efficient and effective for the team and projects
  • A customer service focus, strong communication skills and enjoy working in a team environment

A satisfactory police records check and current Victorian driver’s licence is required for this position.
