The Role
This is an active and activating role providing administrative and project support within the Client Lead function of the Major Projects & Portfolio Management unit.
Our unit is responsible for managing the City’s asset portfolio, collaborating with external project delivery partners, delivering the capital works program, and improving how projects are planned, prioritised and governed across the organisation.
Working closely with Client Leads and stakeholders, both internal and external, you will support the planning and coordination of projects from early stages through to delivery. This includes coordinating meetings and documentation, tracking actions and progress, maintaining project information in systems such as PMO365, and supporting financial and reporting processes.
You will also assist with Council reports, briefings and correspondence, and help improve how the team tracks, reports and manages projects.
About You
You are organised, proactive and comfortable supporting multiple projects in a busy environment. You bring strong administrative and project support skills, with the ability to manage priorities, keep information accurate, and support stakeholders effectively. You also communicate clearly and can prepare well-structured written material.
You will also have:
- Experience in project or program support
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and similar systems (e.g. PMO365)
- Basic financial administration skills
- A collaborative, customer-focused approach
This role requires a satisfactory police records check.
