The Role
As our Leading Hand - Grass Slashing, you will:
- Maintain Council's Reserve areas in a safe and efficient manner according to organisational standards
- Provide on site supervision for staff and contractors
- Undertake daily maintenance of plant and machinery
This is a seasonal 6 month temporary position, working Monday – Friday 7.00am – 4pm with a 9 day fortnight. The role is based at our Nursery, 103 McKenzie Street West, Golden Square but will travel across the Bendigo region.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Knowledge and operational experience in Open Space maintenance including the use of brush cutters, skid steer and ride on mowers
- Good communication skills and enjoy working in a team environment
- Experience in site and staff supervision
- Good time management and knowledge of OH&S and safe work practices
A current drivers licence with medium rigid (MR) endorsement, skid steer/bobcat certificate and a satisfactory police check are required for this position.
