The Role

Our Economy & Experience unit plays a lead role in ensuring Bendigo is a great place to live, work, visit and invest.

In this new role as our Destination & Experience Manager, you will provide strong leadership to the team, which includes our Bendigo and Heathcote Visitor Centres, with the aim of increasing visitation, enhancing visitor experiences and growing the City of Greater Bendigo’s visitor economy.

You will drive opportunities to capitalise on Greater Bendigo’s competitive advantages to position us as a leading regional city and destination.

You will lead initiatives that activate our tourism industry, lead the implementation of the Destination Management Plan and other key visitor strategies by identifying and collaboratively delivering key strategic initiatives that drive visitation, yield and build industry capacity.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a passion for promoting the Greater Bendigo region as a great place to visit, have relevant qualifications in tourism, strong leadership experience and extensive experience in identifying and delivering strategic initiatives that drive visitation.

You will have the ability to develop and maintain collaborative and constructive working relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, consultation and support for tourism activities and initiatives.

A satisfactory police records check and employee Working with Children is required for this position.
