The Role

In this new position, you will deliver a agreed program of Reconstruction of Essential Public Assets (REPA) in accordance with funding guidelines and timeframes.

The reconstruction program is required for recovery and rebuilding processes following specific damage due to a flood event.  The recovery program of works will require rehabilitation of assets to the point where maintenance is resumed into normal operations.

You will coordinate and deliver the program of road and drainage REPA works, keep accurate records of the works, ensure the standards of work is completed to the acceptable standards, monitor progress and assist with preparing and submitting the REPA claim.

The position is based in our Works unit, at the City’s Adam Street depot in Golden Square but will require travel to sites across the greater Bendigo region.

This role is temporary full time until March 2026 in line with funding arrangements. We have 2 positions available.

About You
To be successful in this position you have:

  • Skills and knowledge in civil construction including some or all of the following – road construction or maintenance, drainage work, bulk excavation, crushed rock pavements, general construction and/or general maintenance work.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements and environmental management techniques
  • Project coordination skills with the ability to plan and execute works within a program and budget
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Enjoy working in a team environment

A current driver’s licence and satisfactory police records check is required for this position.
