The Role

You will ensure that operational maintenance programs relating to the delivery of the City’s tree maintenance program are conducted to the highest possible standard and in accordance with best industry practice.

You will provide site supervision to staff and contractors to ensure all works are completed safely, on time and to the required standard. You will promote and implement appropriate human resource management and risk management practices and procedures in all aspects of Unit operations.

About You

To be successful in this leadership role, you will have relevant qualifications and experience in arboriculture, experience using a range of relevant plant and equipment including elevated work platforms, woodchippers, and chainsaws, have strong communication skills with the ability to work in and supervise a team and maintain a safe worksite.

You will have a current driver’s licence with Medium Rigid (MR) endorsement, a current ESI certificate II, Powerline vegetation control and construction Induction Card, formerly known as the Red Card are all essential.

If you have a qualification in Arboriculture or relevant field, with practical experience with all modern Arboriculture techniques, we welcome your application.

A satisfactory police records check is required for this position.

The position works from 7.30am – 4.30pm Monday – Friday over a 9 day fortnight (fortnightly RDO) and is based at our depot in Adam Street, Golden Square.
